Frequently Asked Questions

There's so much to know about tree webs. Are they safe? Are they waterproof? What do they cost? What material is used? We're here to answer any and all questions that you may have about your future treenet! Please contact Scott at scott@outdoorwebsites.net if you have more question.

Yes! But let's dive in a bit further and elaborate. Each perimeter rope used by Outdoor Web Sites has a minimum breaking strength of 6000 pounds! Paracord has a minimum breaking strength of 550 lbs. but when woven together with lots of other paracord it is multiplied by every strand used.

They sure are! We recommend adding rope walls around your platform in order to avoid an unwanted tumble. Walls make tree webs safe for anyone to play on!

Outdoor Web Sites typically start around $3,000 for something relatively simple like a 10'x10' without any rope walls, and the price typically goes up from there depending on the surface area of the net and how many extra bells and whistles our clients want added. For a rough idea, take the total surface area of your desired tree web and multiply that by 30.  (We charge about $30/square ft for the floor, and $10/square ft for simple rope walls). Adding extra features like ramps and climbing elements cost extra.

No. We take the health and prosperity of the surrounding environment very seriously when we work on a tree web.  We also use wooden spacer blocks to protect both the tree and the rope.

No problem! There are many ways to install artificial anchors such as poles or other structures in order to achieve the same effect of a tree.  Contact us for more info on this issue and we're happy to assist in creating your dream tree web!

A well-maintained tree web will last around 6-8 years before it's deemed unsafe due to UV and other environmental factors. Here are a few tips that you can do every day in order to keep your net looking brand new: Avoid bringing sharp objects onto the tree web. Choose a location where your tree web will see the least amount of sun throughout the day.

It depends. Some extremely simple and small tree webs can be installed in just a few days while other very complex and large tree webs can take weeks! For a rough idea, it takes an entire day to weave about 40 square feet. If you have a project that is 400 square feet, this can take roughly 12 to 14 days. (1-2 days of rigging + 10 days of weaving). It also depends on the complexity of the build and how many extras: walls, levels, special designs, etc. are incorporated into it.

We can repair almost any tree web. Get in contact with us and let us know what happened so that we can estimate the cost of the repairs.

To put it simply, lots and lots of paracord. We use thick static rope for the outside of the tree web. This is the part of the tree web that sees all of the force and it's what holds everything together. For the 'fill' we use paracord, webbing, and other thinner static ropes.

No problem! Tree webs are completely waterproof and will be just fine getting a little bit of rain on them.

Simply fill out the "Get A Quote" form on our website and we'll get back to you with a quote. If you like the quote, we move forward by writing and signing work agreement. Afterward, we simply come to your property and install that dream tree web you've always wanted.

While we do love it when our clients have a guest house or bungalow that we can stay in, it's not at all necessary!
